danish artist peter callesen has been around a while but i have only come across his works recently. i love his paper art which is created from one sheet of A4 paper and he also creates large scale paper installations. impressive!

little chef in popham

the first hestonised little chef in winchester, hampshire. you’ll find it at popham services, the first one you come to on the A303 if you're on the M3. its a good hour and a half drive from london but it was a fun road trip for me. two more have since opened in york and kettering (northamptonshire) so check it if you're in the neighbourhood as the food is tasty...

i went for dinner at bistrotheque last night and discovered these cool graphics in the toilet! oh and the food was very tasty! great cocktails too. highly recommended!

best lemon tart

i haven't been to princi in a wee while as it's always so rammed. but this is my fave lemon tart so far. i've tried several (paul, peyton and byrne, patisserie valerie, carluccios, amato, konditor & cook and not forgetting the waitrose lemon tart). try it next time you're on wardour! YUM

fabric font

beautiful font design by graphic designer and illustrator tania alvarez. her inspiration came from letters being wrapped in fabric. very nice...

fruitbag

i do like a good looking brown paper bag with some text on it... 'keep it simple' as i saying these days. the bag is actually made out of regenerated leather. designed by Setsu & Shinobu Ito for Regenesi. www.regenesi.com/welcome.html

bread shoes

twin brothers and designers R&E Praspaliauskas have designed a collection of shoes made of bread. i found these on the dezeen website: http://www.dezeen.com/ called bread shoes, they come in different designs and dough recipes. every pair is unique and comes with a best suitable, hand-picked cardboard box. there are also kiddie sizes!

nanami cowdroy
